The Master of Tai Chi

I will not be watching the TVB drama series, "The Master of Tai Chi', so therefore, I will not be writing a review of that series. I have watched half of the first episode, got bored, and stopped watching it altogether. I'm not sure what others think of this drama, but even though, I hadn't got through most of this drama, I'm guessing it's not too interesting. The whole drama looks and sounds boring. So, I totally do not recommend this drama to anyone. Hopefully viewers of this drama will give me some feedback on the drama, so I'll be thinking of watching it. If not, then I will be temporarily or permanently banning this drama.
Anyways, I loved episodes 256, 257, and 258 of Best Selling Secrets. Ka Nam and Vincent moments were so sweet. Although, the "KISS" in 256 was rather fake, the rest was really cute and sweet. Sad to know that from this day on, Esther will be leaving BSS. I don't know what to say, cause there's basically nothing left to say. All Esther/Geoffrey fans have already said everything I need to say. Well, I'll miss Esther Kwan, and I hope Wong Ka Nam will not disappear forever!

Review of "Wasabi Mon Amour"

It was a quite okay series, but if I were you, I'd think twice before starting to watch it.

Drama Name: Wasabi Mon Amour
Episodes: 20
Main Cast:
Michael Tao as Chung Lai Wo
Louisa So as Ko Yau Mei, Me
Joyce Tang as Tam Bo Bo
Bernice Liu as Ko Yau Lai/Yim Lai, Ally

Quick Synopsis:
This drama basically focused on Japanese cooking. "Me" and Ally's father, Ko Sau, is the owner of a Japanese Restaurant in Hong Kong. He learned Japanese cooking in Japan for 20 years. He has a student, he taught for many years too, who is Chung Lai Wo. Wo likes "Me", but all "Me" thinks of is becoming famous one day. Sau disapproves her of doing that. Accidently, one day she becomes "Beautiful Cook". She doesn't know how to cook, so she always tells Wo to help her beforehand. Soon, to become famous, "Me" betrays all the people around her, including Sau, Wo, Wo's brother, Jing, and her aunt, Kwai. Soon, "Me's" real identity is revealed, and Ally allowed her to continue filming. But, instead of her as "Beautiful Cook", they replaced her with Wo. Soon, Tam Bo Bo falls for Wo, while "Me" is mad and working hard in Japan. Then Bo and Wo break up. "Me" had improved her cooking, and matured during the time she was in Japan. She comes back to Hong Kong, sophisticated, mature, and her cooking skills improve highly.

My Comments/Feedback:
If you aren't totally bored, or a huge fan of the main cast, I highly recommend for you not to watch this series. It's really boring, the relationship with Lousia and Michael was so unreal. I personally didn't enjoy this series, so yeah.

Favorite Actor: Paul Chun

Favorite Actress: Bernice Liu

Slightly Disappointed...

I was going to write a review of Wasabi Mon Amour today, but I received very shocking news that disappointed me SO much, I'm delaying the review. Just as I started to LOVE Best Selling Secrets, I received the news that Esther is leaving Best Selling Secrets. TVB is also adding Wong Hei and Suki Chui in it too! I don't think BSS needs more add-ons, ESPCIALLY if Esther is going to leave. Suki Chui is a new actress from a pageant that she didn't even win. She doesn't have much experience, and her acting isn't that good... Seriously, all she knows how to do is SHOW OFF.
Well, either way, I respect all Esther's decisions, and I will continue to support her. I wish her the best. Now, all I hope for BSS is that Suki Chui and Wong Hei won't ruin it, like they ruined The Green Grass of Home, and Fathers and Sons. I didn't like their appearance in both. I also hope there will be a GOOD, REASONABLE, AND A VERY SATISFIED ending for Esther and Geoffrey Wong's character. Hope they explain Esther's absence very well, and not make up some dumb explanation...

The Seventh Day

I've started to watch "The Seventh Day" recently, and it's really interesting. I love how they set the plot, and introduced the characters. Natalie seems to cause Bosco trouble each time they meet, but in Bosco's point of view, she seems to help him every time they meet. Niki seems to dislike Kevin a lot, and I suppose he thinks she is very silly and a little crazy. I love Niki and Natalie's name in the series. Niki's name is Ling Ka Yan, but she has a hilarious nickname called "Ka Ling Yat"... lol Natalie's English name is funny, it's SaSa... lol.

"Wasabi Mon Amour" is coming to an end soon... So, that means, I'll be writing a review for it. I think the series is quite funny, but, at times it gets mad boring, and I feel like not watching it any more. Best Selling Secrets is going to end up to being 328 episodes, and I can't wait to watch more of Esther! There's finally some progress between her and Geoffrey. She finally slowly developed feelings for him.. hehe. I love Vin Choi and Yoyo Chen together... MUCH better than Jeanette Leung with Vin. Jeanette truly gets on my nerves.

I'm going to watch Wasabi Mon Amour, Best Selling Secrets, and The Seventh Day! Au Revior!

Review for "The Gentle Crackdown II"

Finally finished with this series, and have time to write a review! I really enjoyed this series!

Drama Name: The Gentle Crackdown II
Episodes: 20
Main Cast:
Steven Ma as Tse Wong Sheung
Yumiko Cheng as Chan Sai Mui

Quick Synopsis: (Note: Summary is from en.wikipedia.org. Due to the fact that I didn't know what to write, I will be using the summary from Wikipedia.)
Having lost her father at an early age, farm security guard Chan Sai Mui (Yumiko Cheng) grew to be an outspoken and determined woman who would do her utmost to protect her home village. It is her sincerity that has won her respect from all villagers of the Leung Choi County. Sometimes she would get too enthusiastic and impulsive that she could bring about a lot of misunderstandings. Amusingly, she has mistaken the newly appointed agricultural official Tse Wong Sheung (literal meaning "Thank you, Emperor") (Steven Ma) for a thief and the two of them have been bitter enemies ever since. To keep himself from any possible trouble, Sheung has been avoiding Mui intentionally.
For the benefit of his son's future, Sheung's father Tse Chong Tin (Ha Yu) has not only invited the intelligent Tai Chung Man (Wayne Lai) to be Sheung's assistant, but also found him four special bodyguards namely Chuk, Fun, Meen and Fan. Despite the best arrangements for Sheung, he still gets framed by the corrupted officials from Changsha and is in danger of facing the most torturing punishment. Luckily, Mui and Man manage to save him in the nick of time with a jade bowl bestowed by the former emperor. To everyone's surprise, the jade bowl turns out a fake, but with Man's wit and courage, Sheung is finally saved from danger. Mui has been through a lot together with Sheung and is starting to fall in love with him. Sheung, on the other hand, has no feelings for Mui and decides to turn to Man for tips as to how to break away from her. Mysteriously, Sheung starts being pursued by a hitman soon afterwards.

My Comments and Feedback: I really enjoyed this series! I thought it was pretty entertaining. It was funny and happy at one point, and it made me very nervous and anxious at another point. The script was very well written. I thought it was better than The Gentle Crackdown I.

Happy Happy...

I got my progress reports, report cards yesterday.... I got an average of 95.25. I was really happy, because I got the second highest average in our class. =] I got into the honor roll, once again. I get in it every year!! The lowest score I got was in gym (physical education). It's not because I play bad--- I play the best, cause I love sports! It's because... I don't wear my gym uniform, so that averaged into an 80. Thank god that gym doesn't get averaged to my total score. I got 2 97's, one in English and Math. I got a 95 in Social Studies (History), and a 92 in Science.

Due to school, I haven't had much time to watch TVB series. But, I am almost done with The Gentle Crackdown II and Wasabi Mon Amour. I'll begin the review as soon as I finish them...
So, stay tuned!!!

Happy Chinese New Year! 新年快樂!

新年快樂! Happy Chinese New Year to all! 祝大家新年快樂, 身體健康! 恭喜發財! Hope everyone gets a lot of red enevelopes...
Receiving red enevelopes is nice, but it's also a big waste. People just take the money and throw out the enevelope. Let me teach you a very good way to reuse the red enevelopes. Save them for next year, which can save money too. If there are pictures on it, of the year of the animal, save it and use it 12 years later... lol. Isn't it a good way to save??
I won't be attending school tomorrow at Chinese New Year. I'll be staying home and celebrating... hehe, and also getting money. I want to buy new shoes!!!

Review of "War of In-Laws II"

Hmm.. I've finished this series in ages, but I was just too lazy to write a review... lol. I've been really busy with school work lately. The teachers are piling me with homework, homework and more homework.

Drama Name: War of In-Laws II
Episodes: 20
Main Cast:
Myolie Wu as Chow Lai Man
Liza Wang as Kor Bik, Ophelia/Fiona
Bosco Wong as Kor Dak, Kyle

Quick Synopsis:
Kor Bik, Ophelia is a chief editor at a fashion magazine called Elva. She shows no mercy to her enemies and does everything she can to keep her son Kor Dak, Kyle (Bosco Wong) under her hands. She can't afford to lose anything. She is over confident that she can determine her son's future life. A plain, geeky looking girl named Chow Lai Man (Myolie Wu) has already managed to marry Kyle. Later Man resigns from the police force and chooses to work as a magazine journalist, at her mother in law's magazine, which leads to even more conflicts between her and Ophelia.
Not long after, Ophelia gets into a scandal and gets framed by her assistant Ko Ka Bo, CoCo (Joyce Tang), which causes her to lose her place all of a sudden. Facing a dramatic career slump and her horrible relationship with her son and daughter in-law, Ophelia moves to her mansion in Lamma Island. She meets someone, the smart and talented But Ping Fan (Benz Hui) who was once a convict. From Fan, Ophelia has learned how to reflect on herself and let go of the past. As everything seems to be going fine, Man discovers that Elva is in danger or falling apart.

My Comments and Feedback:
I really enjoyed watching this series. It created moods, which were happiness, sad, and hilarious moments to remember. I loved this series. It was great to watch after a tiring day. All the actors and actresses did a fabulous job in the series. It was better than the ancient series that preceded this series.

Favorite Actor: Bosco Wong (obviously...)

Favorite Actress: Myolie Wu (obviously...)

haha..

It turns out that I've passed my French test! I got a 89% on the oral part, and a 100% on the written test.. I have school tomorrow, and I haven't washed my hair yet. I might wash it tonight, or tomorrow morning. I have an English test on Tuesday, and I haven't studied yet. Errs... I hate tests. I'm almost finished with the TVB drama series, "War of In-Laws II". I might write another review for it as I did with Survivor's Law II. I'm currently watching "The Gentle Crackdown II". It's pretty boring in my opinion, but not as boring as "The Building Blocks of Life", although I managed to finish it. I gtg now, I have to eat lunch! I'm starving! =)

errs... je m'appelle sharon kwan.

Bonjour!
Errs.. I guess I failed my French test once again. I passed the writing part, but I messed up on the most important part, the ORAL part. I always fail oral tests. I can't speak French fluently, but I know how to speak it. But, if you tell me to talk French in front of the school/class, I mess up. The only parts I said perfectly were, "Je m'appelle Sharon Kwan." lol.. I don't have much hopes on passing French with a 95% again... The only reason I passed with a 95% last quarter, was because it was a review of the basics. And, I knew all the basics.
I gotta study for the make-up test I requested... Au Revoir!

January 20, 2008 My Birthday!

Today's my 13th birthday! Finally I'm 13... I've been waiting to be 13 for ages... Hmm, today I'm going to go celebrate my birthday with my friends and family. I wonder what I should wear. I've spent the whole day online, and I barely did any of my homework. I guess I won't have time to do it today. I'll probably scribble through it tonight, and have nothing to do tomorrow, since it's no school! I've called a couple of friends over to my birthday party, and of course my mom called my cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. and her friends and her friends' children.. I'll probably be in my room with my friends, Leila, Andrew, Angela and my favorite cousin, Janet. I don't like being in the crowd. I love watching Best Selling Secrets... It's really good, I'm addicted to watching it already. I'm currently up to episode 224. Esther Kwan is a gorgeous and good actress... The whole cast is wonderful, which makes me look foward to watch it. I spent the whole day yesterday watching it... well after my swimming and piano class that is. My mom got so mad at me for hogging the television, that she yelled at me saying my full name. My parents never yell at me with my full name unless, they are really mad.
Okay, I've gotta go change and go out now... Stay tuned!

Finally Finished

I've finally had time to finish the series, "Survivor's Law II". It was funny and cute, I loved Ella Koon's lawyer look... So, I decided to do a series review... lol I've never tried before, so forgive, if I make mistakes.

Drama Name: Survivor's Law II
Episodes: 20
Main Cast:
Ella Koon as Lily Suen Lei Lei
Kenneth Ma as MK Sun Man Kwan
Sammul Chan as Vincent Cheuk Wei Ming
Selena Li as Cheng Choi Yuk

Quick Synopsis:
MK Sun (Kenneth Ma) was once stopping a drug smuggler, but because of that, he was accused of taking drugs. Despite his background, his family hired a famous lawyer to help him, and not surprisingly, he won. The lawyer, Brandon (Waise Lee),became his idol, and MK became a lawyer. A couple of years later, MK was trying to get a job in his idol's company, TB&B. He beat Brandon's wife, Brenda (Rebecca Chan), in a case, and started working there. There he met a stubborn, rich and spoiled girl named Lily, (Ella Koon) only caring about her looks and herself. They became enemies because of each others backgrounds and attitudes. MK also met Vincent (Sammul Chan), Vincent thought of MK as a bad person, but soon notices he was wrong, after having a fight with him in a soccer game, where Vincent punched the umpire, but MK took the blame. Soon, they become best friends. After splitting with his ex-girlfriend, Jessica (Bernice Liu), Vincent (Sammul Chan) falls in love with a coffee shop girl called Cheng Choi Yuk (Selena Li). Vincent had his lawyer license stopped for three years and couldn't be a lawyer until a few months time. After getting a chance to work again and start a new refreshing career, he started only caring for himself, he was so determmined that he went against Choi Yuk and her family, even his best friend, MK Sun. Choi Yuk thought he betrayed them and only cared about himself so she broke up with him. Soon, Choi Yuk gets into hospital after an accident. Vincent finds out that Choi Yuk has his son, Jophy. Lily and MK find out that they both have feelings for each other, and eventually get married. Besides the fact that they have an 8 year old daughter, Sun Ka Bo, they are like any other just married couple. Ka Bo is not MK and Lily's biological daughter. She is MK's ex-girlfriend and her uncle's daughter, but Lily and MK treat her as their own child.

My Comments and Feedback:
I thought it was pretty good, well better than the other recent series I've watched, "The Building Blocks of Life" and "Marriage of Inconvenience". Compared to Survivor's Law, Survivor's Law II, was more funny, energetic, and less based on the cases the lawyers had. I loved when Ella and Kenneth argued, they were just so cute and funny. And their sweet moments together were great. Kitty's character of Sun Ka Bo was so adorable. Jophy was cute too, although, he didn't have much camera shots. I was actually looking foward to more scenes about Kenneth, Ella and Kitty together. They have really good chemistry.

Favorite Actress: Yoyo Chen as Stephy

Favorite Actor: Kenneth Ma as MK Sun

Ella did a great job in this series, her acting is really great. Hmm... maybe she'll film more series in the future... Although, Sharon Luk and Yoyo Chen were guest stars in this series, I thought they were really good. Well, hope to see them in series more often. I love this series, cause everyone had really good chemistry.

January 18, 2008 Night

I had a very undescribable day today... First, I tried to scare my buddy on the way to school today, but it didn't really work. I didn't wear my glasses, so I couldn't see much stuff. So, I couldn't see the person I wanted to see. At lunch, I saw the person I wanted to see... He glanced at me for about a second and looked away. At the lunch table, Leila told almost everybody, who I used to like..GRR. Thank god only a few people heard. Out of embarrasment, I immediately went outside. My math teacher stuffed us with homework, and thank god I don't have any other homework, except half of my social studies homework and a project. After school, when the bell rang, I stood in the staircase, blocking it, while talking to my friend. The person got piss at me... lol, that he moved me and ran down the stairs. I stood there for a second and went down the stairs, still not knowing what happened. I walked home, and decided to go to my friend's house. I played on her piano for awhile, and played on her computer. Then, out of hunger and boredom, I went to another friend's house, which was just across the street. We ate, watched tv, and I left. Today's day was just too... idk how to describe.. maybe, NORMAL?

January 18, 2008

Hehe... The test is finally over! YAY! But, in March, I'll have a math test... ehh. I hate these tests. My friend, Leila, and I decided to work on the Science Fair Project that was meant to be due today, but we didn't finish.. eh heh heh.. Thank god the teacher said it could be brought in next week. Leila and I got our hands dirty with food coloring, cause the whole thing flew out.. eww.. it was disgusting.. Thank god it didn't smell bad.. I've gotta go get ready for school now! BYES! =)
